1.2 MILLION

The latest count we have received from the national organizers of the Tax Day Tea Party is that nearly 2,000 Tea Parties were attended by over 1.2 Million Americans! This is an amazing result, especially since, for so many people, this was their very first political demonstration. Congratulations, America! It's going to be awfully hard for Washington to ignore this number and the depth of passion it shows.

    I am one of those who attended the San Jose Tea Party and can say that it was my first protest. Thanks to all who not only attended but kept it safe for my small children. And thanks to the organizers for a great event!

    BTW, did anyone see the local CBS news coverage of the event which made it look like all of the tea party attendees were mixing it up with the counter protesters who showed up? They made it sounds like the protest was of a violent nature and didn't once even mention what the protest was even about. It shouldn't have surprised me, but it did.

    Count me in for the next gathering and please keep blogging!
